Foster Care (Resources Families)
PA Child Resource Parents provide temporary care for children with the ultimate aim of reuniting them with their biological family and whenever possible joining the family’s support system. We seek Resource Families who can love and nurture children that are going through a traumatic period in their lives but are also able to ally with human service professionals in navigating the reunification process.
PA Child has found that the best way to produce successful outcomes is to provide adequate support to ensure that you, the Resource Parent, are successful.
A foundational part of our foster care program is to include Resource Parents as a member of the professional team. When Resource Parents have an equal voice, the outcomes are improved for our children and meeting goals set by social services.
